Monotasking: Why Doing One Thing at a Time Beats Multitasking

Monotasking — doing one thing at a time, deliberately — is the unglamorous answer almost nobody wants. The cultural story says the productive person juggles. The neuroscience says the opposite: the juggler is paying a tax on every throw.
